This is my newest portrait drawing. I was experimenting with a charcoal wash and this is what I came up with.

I drew this using a doll as a model. Kind of cool, I tried to make it look real.

FUZZY NAVEL
This is JA Konrath's fifth and newest installment in his action pack, humor laced Detective Jack Daniels series. Once again he displays his amazing skills as storyteller. He gives enough back story to introduce new readers without boring the faithful to tears.

Detective Jacqueline "Jack" Daniels is one of Chicago's finest officers. She has brains, marksman skills and a martial arts background that makes her a true force to be reckoned with. She's solved some impossible cases, earning her a place among the male officers. Her personal life, on the other hand, seems to go the way of the Titanic. She has managed to get engaged to the love of her life, Latham Conger, and the two of them are looking towards the future.

Then something comes crawling from her past. Serial Killer Alex Kork. At first Jack hears her old enemy has commited suicide in prison. Soon she finds out nothing is further from the truth.

Add to that a group of amatuer assasins decide to take pot shots at perverts and Police officers, thinking they are saving the world. When one of them believes Jack could identify them, She and her family become targets.

JA Konrath has once again brought us right into the fun and excitement that is Jack Daniels. I was engrossed from page 1 and I felt like I really knew the characters. If you haven't read Fuzzy Navel yet, What are you waiting for?!?
